Eduardo Escalante is a man with many diverse interests and passions that have shaped his life and experiences at every turn. Born and raised in the Venezuelan capital of Caracas, Eduardo has had a life that has taken him from his homeland and taken him to Canada in search of better educational and professional opportunities. While living in Canada was never the plan, Victoria has captured his heart and he has made British Columbia his home.
Born in Caracas, Eduardo Escalante spent much of his early life in Venezuela where he vigorously pursued an education in some of the country’s finest universities. Once his undergraduate career was completed, Eduardo took an Advanced Business Management program at the Graduate Institute of Advanced Management Studies (IESA) in Caracas. When he had finished there, he continued his education by pursuing a Masters of Administrative Sciences Management at the Universidad Nacional Experimental Simón Rodríguez. However Eduardo moved before completing due to a lack of opportunity and finished his educational career by studying English at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada, where he now lives.
Eduardo Escalante is currently involved on the cutting edge of the tech industry, specifically that of holograms and holographic marketing. Both Eduardo and his wife work on marketing for Holografyx, a startup that focuses on more interactive advertising through the use of holograms and holographic displays. He travels to technology expos around the country and the world showing customers how working with interactive holographic technology can change the game when it comes to reaching new customers and getting your point across.
When not working, you can find Eduardo Escalante indulging in one of his many passions and hobbies. Eduardo is a member of the Knights of Columbus, one of the world largest Catholic fraternal service organizations, where he helps new immigrant families settle and feel comfortable in Canada. The Knights of Columbus also do political outreach for Catholic causes and support the developmentally and physically disabled around the world. Since it was started in 1882, the Knights have helped millions of people all around the world.
Running is Eduardo Escalante’s other passion and it has been since he was young. He has taken part in multiple 10ks around Venezuela and in has continued to do so in Canada. He frequently runs for charitable causes and his running goes hand-in-hand with his work with the Knights of Columbus. Eduardo is going to continue running for the health benefits as well as for the charity he can raise through his trials.
